Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book my processing appointment?
As soon as possible! We know it's hard to plan exactly when an animal reaches their prime finish, but having an estimate is good to know once you decide to finish the animal for meat.
We also know emergencies can happen, and you have to get an animal in right away. Based on the circumstances, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Based on our capacity, we strive to meet the needs of our livestock producers.
Do you require a deposit to secure a date?
$100 deposit per head of beef. $50 deposit for pigs, sheep and goats.
Are you USDA inspected?
Yes. Frontier Meat Packing is fully USDA inspected, ensuring that all processing meets strict food safety and quality standards. This certification provides peace of mind for producers and consumers, confirming that every step of our process, from slaughter to packaging, is done in a clean environment, safely and responsibly.
How do you charge for processing (hanging weight or packaged weight)?
We will charge based on hanging weight.
When do I submit my cut sheet?
The cut sheet will preferably be done the day of drop off.

How long do you hang meat after processing?
